VET; even with new tyres keep him away from me..

No wonder you get boo'd

This is a perfect example of why he gets boo'd. That comment was one out a series about Perez he was catching and didn't want to get held up. Not about Webber, as all the haters immediately assumed.

Agree with ctjet & dezz - Webber had the chance with the faster tyre and a 10 lap sprint to the end but couldn't pass Grosjean. Vettel blew past the same guy on the slower Hard tyres while Grosjean's rubber was fresher and faster...

If Vettel had struggled to pass Grosjean like Mark did they would have all been right there together. But he made it look easy - so easy he didn't even need the DRS to make his pass!

Have to agree with you there, Harry. Vet shot past Grosjean on his first try, and only opened DRS as he was executing the move (probably forgot in all the excitement). The commentators were saying Weber was struggling to get traction out of the tighter corners due to his low aero. Whether that was the reason or not, you could see Grosjean walk away coming out of the corners on the last 1/3 of the track.

Still, on softer, fresher tyres Weber caught him quickly, but struggled for a good 5 laps to make the pass. Like it or not, SebVet is definitely the superior driver in that team, as he's shown time and time again over the last 3 years. Time for Weber to hang up his helmet

Whether Dan will be able to be anything other than Sebvet's bitch will be seen next year.

Title has already been well and truly wrapped up! It's only purely mathematical chances left. Vettel's got a 90 point lead and there's a maximum of 100 points left FFS. Anyone suggesting Alonso is stil in the hunt is delusional.

Was so happy at the prospect of Romain winning...but just couldn't match the pace of RBR

As much as I'm not a fan of Grosjean, that was a good drive. Just shoulda been more forceful with Webber, who only got him in the end because of traffic. Webber defending in the same situation would have had the other guy up against the pit wall!

the good new is, in either India or Ab Dab, it'll be in a timezone that is very convenient

can record the US/Brazil rounds and watch them at my own pace as both championships will have well and truly been wrapped up

for nostalgia's sake a webber win before the end would be nice i suppose

Ummm pretty sure this is not a perfect example of why he gets boo'd , many factors and behaviours are responsible radio messages just one. Anyhow the rbr pr machines probably on it now as there was a distinct lack of finger waving when he got out pf the car. i made that comment assuming he was talking a bout webz he may not have been (this time). Btw Perez being backmarker or not big deal that's what blue flags historically its never been easier to pass backmarkers.

I get people are saying it was up to web to pass on his fresher tyres but watching teds notebook after the race the lap times didn't really show his tyres had gone off that much to need his second stop so early on. So his tyres may not have been as fresh relative to gro and seb to give the best adv to get the moves done. To me it seemed more like pit web to cover of gro and hand seb the lead.

I was VERY Drunk when watching the race so last few laps were a bit sketchy. What was it, a 15 secon lead with 10 laps to go? How much older were his tyres then Vettels? Only 2 or so laps wasnt it? Anyway....thats Webber shot to sh1t for the year...Seb will hand it to him at all other races except maybe Brazil where Webber can sometime pull a result. :(

COME on Romain...now that Kimi is betraying the brotherhood to go play with red cars I want him to gag on C0CK and watch Romain kick on with hopefully a win somewhere.

This I also believe Ito be the correct analogy. The message that came out to Biebs that he was racing Grosjean makes it pretty clear they had Mark covered with his strategy. Also early on asking mark to hold the gap to Grosjean makes me think it was planned from the start. With a three stop strategy they needed to keep pushing in the early stages.

A win for Mark would be nice but I can't see it happening.

mate, you're the one who said it's no wonder he get's boo'd because of comments like that. The fact is, people like you are just dying to find something to hate him for. Doesn't mater what he does.

The finger waving has been cut right back for the last few wins, but why? Every driver waves a finger when they win! Why does it only become an issue when Vettel does it? That's right, because people are dying to find something to hate him for.

The second stop nonsense is another example of the completely unfounded RBR conspiracy against Webber. His second stint was 14 laps. The average second stint of all the 3 stoppers was 14.6 laps. That's bang on a perfect 3 stop strategy, not an exceptionally early pit stop to hurt Webber's race. The lap before the second pit stop, he lost 2.1sec to Grosjean! Looked like he had burnt the tyres up closing the gap and trying to pass Grosjean in the previous 3 laps.

It was almost 15sec with 13 laps to go. Then it was about 10sec with 11 laps to go and Vettel closing in fast on fresh tyres.

For Mark to go to the end on the Hard tyres without pitting would have meant going further than anyone else did on those tyres. Webber has never been known for being gentle on tyres, and he was running a lower downforce setup to try and improve his overtaking chances, that also meant more tyre wear. Everyone knows what happens to these Pirelis when you stay out on them too long.

There's no conspiracy to find here. Webber wasn't fast enough.

Also early on asking mark to hold the gap to Grosjean makes me think it was planned from the start. With a three stop strategy they needed to keep pushing in the early stages..

They also told Vettel the same thing early on - to hold a 2sec gap to Mark. It is commonplace for teams to advise their driver sto stay 2sec back to conserve their tyres if they can't pass the guy in front. It's been happening all season. And last season... This is the lamest conspiracy theory yet.
