Glad to see the perk in interest.

Like others indicated it isn't a full on track day but great way for folks to go see what it's like for a taste. There are lots of other opportunities but expect them to be around a few hundred bucks for a track day and 50-70 for a skidpan. But then there are requirements like motorsport licenses and fire extinguishers.

If you've ever wondered about motorsport but sitting on the fence get in on this if you can!

Technically I think you need a fire extinguisher for this. From what I read in the regs. I'm yet to receive a email with the extra details they said they'd send.

Best to check with them if you dont have one.

What did you recieve?

All I got was an email saying they recieved it and everything looked fine. More info in the coming weeks.....

Will say Hi,

don't laugh too hard when you see a Volvo out there.... :P

i'll come down and take pic's :)

BTW 1:14.77 to beat!

1.06.1 to beat :D

however, for 30 bucks you guys cant go wrong for this day, more the atmosphere too, it'll be fun!

Ill be there definately with my blue GTST 33. You cant miss that either. Im sure there was only limited spots so im guessing all of the drivers will meet at some point :) cant wait to put her on a real race track and not just a skid pan or air strip. Wondering if i need helmet or not. I already have extinguisher so thought helmet might be a good idea :) Getting excited only a week to go.

Great im the only one in the red group :( Looks like ill have to represent SAU alone. The red group is starting at 730am! then yellow, blue green, the times looking at the scedule are spread over the whole day. I will probably stick around and watch some of you guys as i have nothing else on that day :) Ill make sure to come say hi. If you want to watch me set your alarms early lol.

think cause i was so early in my rego like december last year i got first group :( should have held off :( oh well ill show up all the comadores and falcons for u guys lol

    • No, I don't remember the exact reasoning (was 20 years ago!) but the cops didn't end up supplying it to us either. Actually my mother went through a similar thing recently where she was hit when stationary, flustered and didn't get address (she got plate details, name, phone and insurance company, but not address). Person who hit her blocked her number and their insurance company (naturally) would not provide any details. Her insurance company also required her to pay the at fault premium because she did not have the address, cops did not help as it is a minor civil matter (they said their only course was if the other driver had left the scene of the accident without providing any details). She only ended up getting that refunded because they happened to be insured with Suncorp and she was with APIA so same company owners. For some reason the address is critical in insurance companies recovering money from the at fault party
    • If you're driving something like an R32 through to R34, no chance of meeting Euro4. Euro4 came out in 2006, and car manufacturers back then were complaining how hard it would be to meet those regulations. Not a chance a vehicle 10 years earlier is going to be compliant.
    • I presume it would take more than just slapping a big modern catalyst on the exhaust? It's interesting though, looking at the old sales brochures and listings it does not mention anything about emissions. No one cared.
    • Yeh nice, looks like their part of keep it reet? Will have to swing past. I'd much prefer someone actually look at my car and custom make a part, then get a generic part online and hope it works.
    • No, but they will be WAAAAAAY too high. You will never get your ticket.
