I'm in - I have to sort a Licence - I'll do that at the CAMS come and Try day on the 19th Jan. Then I have to see if I buy a car in the new year, and submit all the details. Thats why I haven't entered yet.

Should I do the $50 deposit thingo?

I'm in with the MR2 but that was kind of given. Alex if you're not planning on doing other CAMS motorsport can I suggest you grab the entry form and consider a AASA license instead? Lasts a year, still accepted by many tracks and costs half as much as a CAMS L2S license.

Would greatly appreciate the deposits sooner rather than later, as I'm sure you can understand it helps us sort out the EOI's from the genuine entries.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

I'm still keen, I wanted to see how the Stagea handled Sandown before committing as I doubt the evo will be ready by then. Perhaps with some water spraying on the coolers I will get some more laps out of the old girl...

As the sessions are open and the laps are short you can just come in cool off a bit then go out again. How did you go at Sandown?

We have tweaked the day:

Cost locked in at $140

Cars only, capped at 70 entries

Interest is high, verbal confirmations are high, entry forms received are LOW

To make the day proceed we need confirmed entries so if you know you're coming or have a query about the day we want to hear from you!

Sigh. Looks like I won't be attending this. I might have sourced a car, but there is no way I'll be ready to go to a track in vic in time. Towing home from vic doesn't even bear thinking about.

Sorry Shaun, I'm out too; without the bike component, I can't justify the trip.

Thanks for your efforts with organising, hopefully you can still run.

    • I'll snap up some photos when I'm back home, in the office today meeting my "in the office" quota. Have 2x Teams calls scheduled in, office culture they reckon.   I've never owned a proper off the shelf sub, I've always made or modified broken ones with Jaycar plate amps and/or car subwoofer drivers. The current (and broken) subwoofer has a proper home driver in it, Dayton driver, thos one https://www.daytonaudio.com/product/118/rss265hf-4-10-reference-hf-subwoofer-4-ohm FS of 25Hz, which is low but not low enough. Yeah, I think they were brought out to the market to compete with SVS. I would love a SVS PB-3000 but they're not cheap, especially after their price hike. From reviews online, it does look like the Tonewinner D6000 would destroy and with good amount of money saved too.
    • yeah, that happens too.  I'm really enjoying 4WDing at the moment, seen a few beautiful spots and want to go explore more of this enormous country.  The 370Z got a clutch LSD in it and a track day, great fun.  Getting the back end sorted out really rejuvenated my enthusiasm for driving it hard, the viscous one is poo especially in such a short and wide chassis.  The VLSD unpredictability was more benign in a long and skinny Skyline.
    • With my pre/power I use a remote trigger cable(3.5mm jack each end). I turn tv on, it turns both on via ARC. Or, just the pre with the remote or its streaming software, turns on both. Not that difficult at all. Obviously,  you would also want to actually update/upgrade over other factors in your life(bills, family, other hobbies, etc)
    • Yeah, nightfall was very "meh". And I'm crap at pvp, so feels like everyone has cheats(it's just my lack of skill). Final shape has been pretty good. New raid and dungeon are pretty good. If you want to give it a go, probably wait until it's on sale. But, as usual, most of it feels very familiar.
    • This morning was Kingswood's Microscopic Wars. It is the album's 10 year anniversary this year and we went to see them play the whole album as a special show a couple of months back. Was pretty spectacular.
