coloring the rim

I have std rim and i want it to be coloured white

Anyone has sugestion where is the best place to paint the rim ?

by the way what is powder coated?

Yes I'd like to get that done too, but I don't know where. I did hear that Canterbury Tyres does that...$50 per tyre..but something about me feels uncomfortabe with that.

Look for anywhere that does powder coating.. that would be the best way to go.

Powder coating is basically when they cover the material (wheel) in a fine plastic powder, then heat it up at extreme temps, the plastic powder melts and bands together over the material..

Yeah it is ...

If you powder coat them, then decide you want another colour, you get them sand blasted.

But you will have to get them re-powdercoated after, as the raw finish after its sand blasted is yuck!

What suburb are you from, I got mine done at a reasonable price, but that was only the wheels centres which I removed off the rim, not the whole wheel.

Sandblasting and powdercoating done at two seperate places in Dandenong ... not sure of company names.

Are you from the SEast? If not there should be someone in your area that can offer the same service.

If you are from the SEast, these two companies would be my recommendation, between myself and brother we have given them heaps of work, so they look after us.
