Keeping Plastic Trim Black

Just wondering what you guys use to keep your roof racks black and the trim buy the back windows mines starting to look average

armorall it..repeat once a week until its stays black.. Then you can just wax it like you would the rest of your car..

Roof racks? Use tyre shine, let it soak in, and wipe it off. The racks have dried out by using tyre shine you are moisturizing them again. I did it once to the stag and it lasted from when I bought the car till after I sold it two years later

I second the tyre shine trick. Works a treat and lasts for ages. After a couple of applications it will actually start to stain the racks black again.

armourall is actually a silicon based top coat ask any detailers any real detailers or sparypainter they tell you to stay well clear of the stuff where as trim detailer is a penetrating conditioner also 303 do a similar product

yeah...not convinced...have tried some other "conditioners" and wasn't overly impressed...But i will shut my mouth until I try this stuff you speak of

$15-$20 a bottle for the Meguiars. It has to be re-applied from time to time.

I use it on the window seals, window trims and even the dash/door cards when I want them looking flash.

Other wise the Meguiars interior spray.

You dont use much so the bottle lasts for ages. Looks a bit like clag glue but it's the bomb

used the tyre black trick on roof racks and gettin some meguiars plastic polish tomorrow to see how that goes
