Me and V8cat have already ordered and received them but the discount wasn't that significant (100 GBP) considering how much you end up spending with shipping and taxes.

But the brakes do look amazing and should be fitting them on shortly once I get my PMU club racers.

If you received 100 GBP from discounted price, it means 1400 GBP discount from retail price.

I went ahead with the order because even after postage, taxes and discounts it was still a lot cheaper than sourcing them locally. All depends on exchange rate as well.

Hey mate if possible could PM what you payed in total for the kit

Thanks

A word of warning, those standard issue pads are not very good when pushing the car hard at all. I took my thing up Springwood road, out near Richmond in NSW (basiclaly a 4 km sprint up a hill. 1st and second gear, I may have snatched 3rd once) and you could feel the pads not liking it. Got a tad spongy.

Yeah, I found that too, I still haven't fitted my PMU Club Racers yet.....They should make the car stop on a dime!

I've heard good things about the Pagid pads. Black and yellows or something.

Anyone know if Endless make a pad in their CC-RG compound that will fit. I had those on standard brembo setup and they were nothing short of awesome!

Alcon kits are road legal in UK so they come with ferodo ds performance pads. They are ok for street use but not for track. I found same information in manual included in box with brakes. Yellow pagid RS29 are the best option for alcons imo. They work from cold, don't squeak, and are very "friendly" for discs. RS19 are not available for alcon 6 / 4 pistons. I checked with jdl last month.

RS29 is the "yellow" Pagid Paul that people speak of... Pagid make two "yellow" and the RS-19 is the lower spec of the two :)

Yeah, Jack said he was running these when he used this kit. He was happy with them.

Hence why I'm not even bothering with the DS performance pads and was recommended either club racers or Pagid Rs29.

Have a read, explains some common brand pads for either street or track.

I never ran out of brakes with DS2500 on the street with a 356mm rotor.

Even on a 15min hills run... And I'm not one to take it easy

ahhhh....that only say's your no good at braking!

Grow some hairy ones me thinks!
