Thread for everything here :D

Great day yesterday from my point of view. Was great to get back into the seat and drive a GTR again, so heaps of thanks to Mick & Rick for lending the use of the R34 GTR for the day. Really do love the flying finishes and Mega Mini Wang :D

Epic thanks to all Volunteers/Officials standing there in 35+ degrees. Having done it before, i know it's pretty harsh, so big sombrero's of to you all once again!

thanks to all the officials and volunteers on making this possible. it was my first event and it was awesome. the long wang was soo much fun, i really enjoyed the basketball court. looking forward to see the photos that were taken on the day.

thanks guys

Had fun doing the finisher at the skid pan, the views are better there than out of the pan. Had slight scare from cars overshooting into the 'garage' especially that C63...

Got burnt in various parts of the body, I guess it's fair compromise :P

First time volunteer, would do again if I don't enter next one.

Lol... thanks for volunteering.. guys like you are always needed to make events like this successful..

I came in a bit hot into the garage... but I didnt hit the cone at the end! :D

Thanks for the best organised/run DECA i've been to in the 15 years i've competed in them. Previous thoughts about a Skyline club day were wrong. You guys/girls killed it . Thanks to all that helped out. Some great cars on the day. Great to see the C 63 and RS 5 out there, those little Dattos and the VK (PROVEN)

Thanks again. Look forward to doing more events with SAU. Maybe HH next time.

Cheers

Rik (Black Commondore)

Well done to the organisers for another great Deca....

Was good to get Kimba the STI out for the first time and great to see a full field at Deca.

- Passenger runs in Craigs RS5, Erics C63, Leons 180 and bringing back memories of my S15 days with Jovan also now known as Mr.Clutch Kick, Jovan you should have been a drifter.

- Flying finsh on the Mini and Long Wang is awesome.

- Amazing Oysters poolside at the 'other' Hotel with Eric, Roblet, Jess and Jovan, You guys rock!

- Snowy and his shinnanigans.... It's been a while between drinks. Thanks for the fun times :)

- One Direction Boy Band in the middle of Shepparton, what are the chances of that happening!

- Dancing with Bec to cheesy music.

Lowlights -

- Final Battle should have been named 'Understeer'

To the volunteers and everyone else that helped out, It was so hot out there and the event could not run without you so thanks soooo much!

I'm glad I woke up with no hangover and was home in Melbourne by 10.30am, so I could hit the books for Uni....

See you at the next one....

Justine :)

Good work Grant and other volunteers.

Missed this one for some waterskiing but looking forward to the next one in a 'different' car :)

Had a great time as always, I love warm DECA's... Sure its annoying during the actual event, but the pool and cold beers definitely make up for it :D

Somehow I didn't have any problems during the main event, but then lost a few exhaust bolts on the way home.

Sorry for everyone driving anywhere near me between Shep and Nagambie, Front Pipe -> Atmo tends to make a bit of noise, haha.

Thanks again to all the organisers, officials, volunteers and wayne for wrangling them and Import Monster. And to Bec and Ryan for all the work behind the scenes that we never see.

Bring on Feb(??) 2013 :D

A massive thanks to the organisers and volunteers for making the day happen! As usual it was an awesome day with MUCH fun had by all involved. With out you guys none of the fun would happen so you guys and girls ROCK!!

Car update:

Car ran awesome with only a couple of little issues

- Split an oil line on my catch can which squirted oil across the carbys making it run like a chaff cutter at one point

- Shit a wheel bearing on the second last run of the day (still did the last run anyway ;))

I am gonna try and have my rear brake upgrade and hydraulic hand brake in for the next one!!!

Look forward to seeing all you maniacs there next time BRING IT ON!!!!!! :woot:

thanks to all the organisers and volunteers! i had heaps of fun, heat got to me a little bit but still learnt a fair bit, especially as the car being a little different to the previous deca. :)

looking forward to the next one!

    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
    • Sport. I didn’t rebleed it cause I just removed the slave and left connected.    I will change line and slave and see how it goes.
    • Oh and how is the rattle when foot is on the clutch ?
    • Did you get the sport or track ? From what the documentation says the uniclutch has a small amount of movement to disengage.  So your story of tricky pedal setup seems common.    Hopefully you got it bled up too, as the bite point moving around is usually either plates wearing in or air in the line.
