Hey Dude, I recently bought an r33 skyline too..... I had to get a new motor put into it and a few other mods done.....The best place I have found, that is also a reasonable price is at C & J Car All Make at the Garren Mobil on Robson st in Garren. Go and see Joe and Charlie....those guys are awesome with skylines.....

These guys do all my work..they did the 4g63t conversion on my old proton and it never had any problems whatsoever, they also just did the removal and refitting of the engine in my gtr, without having to pull the gearbox.

Joe ownes a skyline and knows his stuff.

good service, good work, that my 2cents anyhow....

Where would be the best place to get something trivial like the in-dash clock fixed? An auto electrician (if so, which?), or somewhere known for knowing their skylines like Ed etc? (tho i spoke to Ed and i don't think he buggers around with silly stuff like that)..

National Automotoive and Electrical in mitchel one of the best auto elects I know.

To save time have you checkec fuses, its almost better off to just get another one from somewhere, as by the time they have pulled the dash off and had a look or pulled the clock out its going to cost you.

Yeah, if your clock isn't working it usually means a fuse has blown or the wires are plugge in the wrong way. i learned this the hard way after replacing the dash garnish and the clock didn't work for a while, then when i did it again, i must have accidently put the wires back the right way and it worked.

It was a Joe who owned Skyline Performance in Mitchell. Be interested to know if he is down at C&J Garran.

Who was the Mech that worked with Joe ? has the really nice wine red 32.

I had some brillian Intercooler pipe work done thru there and some good mods including a veilside front bar modified, painted and fitted.

Yesterday I went to Ben (intune auto electrics) who is still working at the Evo workshop. He did the timing belt, made some brackets, did a full service and removed the speed alert. I supplied most of the belts and oil and it all came in around cheaper than anyone quoted me for just the timing belt! Did a really great job.

Guys just wondering if people have any experiences on businesses fitting new clutches as well as getting the flywheel machined and at what price i have already called a few places for prices and my current shortlist is

Molonglo Brake and Clutch

Trojan

Intune

Please do not suggest Integra as the prices were ridiculous.

I was considering that but it needs to be done in one day as its the only car we have... knowing me it would take a few days to get it all done :P

Do it yourself..

Easy job.. saves you heaps..

BBS (Better brakes and suspension) will machine the flywheel for like $40...

hmm very tempting... only trouble is i have no tools at this stage that is the main reason why i was going to take it to a shop. I will see how i feel in a week or two as if my knee is still feeling crap i really dont want to be crawling under the car

Molonglo Brake and Clutch replaced the clutch in my old r33 skyline, did an awsome job, they also did the clutch in my mates turbo lancer! they really know their stuff! Hassle free. drive in.. come out with a new clutch:D usually the next day.

I want to give a big plug to Molonglo Brake and Clutch the guys explained all the questions i asked and gave me an run down on all the stuff they checked which turned out good as they said everything is fine :P

clutch is interesting feels lighter to depress than my old one which i thought was strange but god damn is she bitting hard i am just cruising around at the moment low revs low acceleration for the first 500 - 1000kms then up to WSID :)

All these plugs for Molonglo B&C is making me think i should probably go there for my brake problem, and also when i get a clutch in my car, i'll go there for clutch problems

Do they do brake upgrades, disc machining that sort of thing?
