So of course it's really difficult to diagnose a drivetrain noise, but it's a noise that I've found in a few cars (old ones at that!) and someone might be able to diagnose.

When in a higher gear (e.g. 4th) and pulling low RPM (e.g. 2,000), there is a vibration that sounds like a lowish frequency clacking noise - when low rpm and loaded up.

I'm not sure what it could be - there gearbox is brand spanker (under 10,000kms), nismo super coppermix (under 10,000kms), the tailshaft was rebalanced when the gearbox went in. I would assume that the tailshaft bearing was inspected at the same time.

Thoughts?

Just vibrations at low RPM transfered through crank to drivetrain. Nothing to worry about.

Nissan reduced the noise issue with dual mass flywheels in the R34GTR and s15 silvia's etc, but we all just rip em out and put in performance setups anyway :D
