R33 Gtr Vspec Oem Oil Temp Gauge Not Working

Hi All

Im relatively new here in the way of posting. I have a question that hopefully soneone will be able to answer. I have found out that the OEM oil temperature gauge in the centre console of my 96 R33 GTR Vspec is not working. Does anyone know how i can fix the gauge or should i be looking for another set of gauges? Does anyone know anywhere in melb that i can get the gauge fixed and if so do they know what kind of $$$ im looking at to repair it?

Also is there any difference in the centre console gauges between the standard R33 GTR's and the Vspec ones?

I want to keep the car as original as possible inside so dont want to put after market gauges inside the car. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

The oil temp sensor (near the oil filter) might be disconnected, or even worse, faulty. Need to do some probing with the multimeter to rule out the oil temp sensor first before looking at the gauges.

I had a mechanic look into it when i got the car serviced on tuesday and he was the one that told me that the gauge was the problem not the sensor.

To restart an old post. I have had the gauge and the oil temp sensor replaced a little while ago and still don't see any movement in the oil temp gauge. I have looked thru workshop manuals and cannot see anything in the wiring diagrams which shows how the oil temp sensor is wired. Does anyone have any experience with this or have had a similar issue?
