Hi Guys

So thinking of putting 225 40 18 tyres where there were 235 40 18 on previously.

Would this fill the guard less or would it stretch on the rim and fill the guard about the same(really like how my current tyres fill the guard atm)

Wanted to know as the 225's are so much cheaper in the same brand..

Thanks for any help

Cheers

Depends on the make of tyre...I have some 255s here that are narrower than 235s in another brand...all in all it shouldn't make too much difference but what types are they...235.40s are usually what's recommended for skylines and are usually cheap too cause its a very popular size

this is what ive been hearing but St.George tyres have ku31's 235 for $159.99 and 225's for $130 - they will do my alignment for me for free as well (not going to tempe because i dont trust them with balacing and alignment)

so..for $40..stick with 235 in kumho ku31's?
