For our XY, dad and I just used a heat gun and a scraper... Really easy, really simple and quite quick.

We did it a few years ago now but I think all I did was warm up the area, then hold the heat gun at the base of the scraper then scrape. Just make sure that there is no angles which can make the heat come back onto you... I learnt that the hard way

I have some really STRONG stuff down stairs you can try.

I googled and came up with Zero, but will ask a mate in the trade on Tuesday.

(also saving a bit just in case for vengeance )

thanks guys, i have since tried automotive stripper which smears it, and the heat gun and scrapper, but it looks like angle grinder with brush is the only way, is there anyone that does dry ice blasting in Canberra??

Yeah I had that concern also. It's fairly soft so I'm hoping it will just bend and flex
