Til they're tight and then a little bit more... Don't Cross Thread them and Don't Over Tighten ! They can break.

Can give you a hand if you need it.

Can vouch for my local mechanic. He knows what he's doing.

Until it comes to heat shields ! :P

Just Keeping my cool my man... :D

and how bout you? You figure out how to take the Handbreak off yet? hahahaha...

Haha yeah man - handbreak all the way up because of your A/C running :P

Thanks for the offers of help, I'm going to give it a shot on Saturday solo, just stay tuned for desperate cry's for help, although by then its probably too late :P

What side of town are you at?

Handy Hints:

Tape over or stuff a CLEAN rag in the pipes you just pulled off to get to the head.

If your coil harness is as old as mine, be careful the plugs can be brittle and break.

I find it easier to undo the bits the coils are bolted to, and take it all off in one go. Two bits actually.

With those gone you can get to any nuts or bolts you drop down there, and you can clean spilled oil and stuff easy.

Plugs are pre gapped, this is the easy way to get it right. get the right plugs.

Before removing the plugs, give it a good blow with compressed air and get any bits of crap out.

Those bits of crap can fall into the cylinder or foul the thread for the sparkplug.

The correct way to tighten the plug is explained clearly on the box.

Dont overtighen the coil brakets, its into alloy, so its soft, blue locktight is good.

Dont forget to remove the rags from your pipes (ive done that before haha)

easy peasy japanesy

Rosie in today at Craig Hall in Phillip. Getting suspesion down - legal height and wheel alignment :)

Update: dodgy seller didn't have a "bush" (?) in the front coil overs so that's not getting done today. Break pads instead. Does that mean I need to purchase new front coil overs? He was saying it would be hard to find a bush for the front coil over? :S

do you know the brand of coilover? find out exactly what bush was missing, inline may be able to help you out if you can't source one from a local parts store. - repco can sometimes be handy for things like that.

G4's - one of the front bushes are missing.

assuming you are talking about one of the bushes in the G4 coilover (must be noisy as hell!), you should be able to get what you need from a retailer (just jap) as they can be fully rebuilt.

Yep G4 coilovers - one of the bushes in the front coilovers is missing (Uninstalled). Just Jap sells bushes for G4's? :D brbrbrbrb

Hmm Just Jap doesn't seem to have G4 coilovers / bushes / whatever I was meant to be looking for.

Its funny I've got the same issue with my Tiens, for some reason the front rubber ring that sits at the top of the spring is gone, make it noisy as hell

did you give them a call and explain what you were looking for?

Nah - they have a very specefic range with suspesion it seems on their website. I'm going to assume they don't stock G4s.

Welcome to my boat - it's a sucky ride.
