Sau A.c.t. - What Did You Do To Your Car Today?

Recommended Posts

Yeah, my ex wife said something along those lines when she didn't want me to know where she was going!!

Oh well, so long as you give her a jump every so often, turn her over from time to time, keep her lubricated then get into her and give her a good going over regularly ... you should be ok .. :D

Put some fresh oil in the diff, and went for a cruise.

Very happy with my alignment. One thing i need to fix is a very slight drift to the left.

But it feels like a Ducati.

Ever ridden one? Man, they just drop into the corners and stick there.

The way they sort of suck you down and balance at the lowest point, feels soooo gooood..... now my 32 is a bit like that.

A little tweaking and it will be perfect.

I cleaned it after about 3 weeks ( haven't had time :( ) then took it for a drive, followed an old SS then he thought he was a Drift King... completely lost it, then found out that my brakes are not to great.... just pulled up in time! so after that fright I decided to go home ....

Scares the sht out of you doesnt it.....

And thats why you drive with appropriate safety margins.

You know what i mean? Like enough room to stop or dodge, when sht goes wrong. And it will go wrong sooner or later.

Not just other cars, but you driving down a road vs the environment.

Its good when you can learn without paying for it. (crashed car or broken bones)

I think it was the first time I didn't leave enough room, its always little mistakes that you pay for...

it would have been about half a metier between us when I finally stopped... thank god for the car behind me had better brakes! she would have wet herself, she looked pretty young, maybe around 17, I think she was more worried about hitting a skyline :P

At every service ... I always have brakes checked, fluids .. pads .. roters, ensure all is clean and working well, Mik is 110% right there is never a time you need them to 'just' work, you always need them to be perfect. Same goes for tyres, your brakes sorta need them to lend a hand when things don't go right ..

Hahaha...

Brakes only need to work when you want to stop.

Tyres only need to be ok when you're stopping, going or turning.

Flat tyres are fine. After all, they're only flat on the bottom.

but seriously, I thought my brakes were fine (but a little different feeling from time to time) <<---- this is wrong. :/

new fluid and they are very consistent now.

Also waiting for a snowfoam lance.

Santa brought a pressure washer and the lance should complete my growing detailing kit.

I can use my car to learn paint correction, before i respray.
