Weight reduction ^^^ Nice. ;)

Today I engaged in some weight reduction also by doing a fairly half arsed Vac on the Wagz. (First since purchase)

Need to use my Whole Arse next time.

INB4 asshole comments.

I also Transported 2 Canaries across the border from QBN. Bet ya'll can't honestly say that!

INB4 Canary Shelving / Budgie Smuggling comments. :O

Pulled the Drivers side Door lock / latch (fiddly f**ker!) out of the Wagz and had a play with it, hit it with some silicon spray and reassembled.

Seems better and hopefully now it will Unlock with the Key EVERYTIME! as opposed to maybe sometimes. :/

So Far ^^^ So Good! ;)

Put in some Ti courtesy light lenses (red outside / clear in the middle) to replace the all red ones in the front doorcards and put Blue Leds in them.

Twiddled with the TPS a little more (might improve gear changes slightly) and am Trying to get the rear demister working.

The list of things to do is Never finished. :D Still gotta do Balljoints and tie rod ends, Steering column bush, rear bushes, diff oil, exhaust, brake rotors, Trans cooler, Temp gauge Fix or aftermarket install etc...

the 33 needs a new alarm siren put in, Walbro installed and AAC valve clean, maybe old front shocks back in and that oil cooler I still don't have.

Install my cooling pro FMIC? LOL!

Yep.. That list should keep you busy for a little while :P

Yeah at some stage I'd like to get a new security system installed in my car.. Not sure how decent the current one is.. :S

Discovered this eve the reason the Wagz Rear demister wasn't working was the Relay in the drivers kick panel was unplugged.

It seems that whoever installed the aftermarket Cruise Control decided to just plug a single spade connector into the 4 slot plug that should connect to the relay. :/

Plugged it back in and what do you know? The relay Clicks when the demister is switched on and I actually get a Voltage reading at the connectors on the window.

Morning will tell if it's working properly. ;) Now I just need to get power to the Cruise again.

I've gotta say though, as good as SAU is for info on our various R32s, R33s R34s etc...

R31 Skyline Club (with the obligatory searching / fishing thru the crap) generally has the 31 goods or at least can point you in the right direction.

Had a look at the roof racks that came with the Wagz. Seems I'm missing one of the rubber pads to mount them. I'll try to source one.

(Anyone have some old ROLA Roof Racks laying round?)

Didn't stop me from putting one on though.

    • Ended up spending a WHOLE day yesterday cleaning and rearranging my shed.  Due to the aforementioned disorder, my shed is as cluttered and confused as my brain. Again, because of said disorder,  at any one time there are 5 projects on the go at once and because they're still on the go I don't put everything away so I can "get straight back to it" which rarely happens.. So anyway,  I bought a couple of cheap 2mx2m all steel "pallet racks" to put in my back shed.  The idea is to then take pretty much everything out of the main shed that isn't car related. Most of the garden and building stuff is now booted out to the back shed and onto to the shelves where they belong! There's still more rearranging and reallocating to do and it's still a bit busy in there but it's a massive improvement on how it was previously. I've discovered floor space I forgot I had...  For those that have fully dismantled a car before will understand just how much space it takes up!  Particularly panels, bumpers, engine/trans, etc.  I've got stuff hanging on every available wall to get it up off the floor!  This is not exciting content for a blog but has certainly made the shed feel like a more work ready space now!
    • Updating results from our ATR43SS-1 turbo in T3 .63, OEM bolt dump pattern. Not a big number but pretty sweet for a stock Rb20det. Car's managed to pull 220rwkws at 20psi, perfect boost control internally gated with EBC and excellent mid top end power band as they usually skydive after 5.5K. Usual bolt on supporting mods and inlet plenum and factory location exhaust manifold. Pump 98 fuel was used (Ron 93).
    • Yeah, well, it's not as though anyone is ever going to buy one of those noisy f**kers and put it into a new installation when there are better pumps that are near silent for less money from Ti.
    • I'd suggest having the engine builder listen to it, especially if they assembled it, and minimise how much you run it in the meantime. It may have a serious issue like a big end bearing from the description and I assume the rebuild was not cheap
    • Quite right, typing without checking, it is an 023 which was effectively the replacement for 040 (not that I could find either of them on the Bosch motorsport AU site), and it has a mesh inlet at the bottom of the pump rather than a separate filter
