4wd/2wd gtr switch

just had a switch installed in my r32 gtr to shut down 4wd.it works but will only go back to 4wd when ignition is turned off.what has been done incorrectly?

I thought that's how they were meant to operate?

If youve hooked it up properly, you should be able to cut your nut, and then once the switch it turned back to "4WD" mode, it re engages 4WD and ABS once you come to a standstill. I.e Not moving.

well wish it would so i could perform burnout before a run but it does not go back into 4wd until ign is switched off and then back on

It is setup wrong if it wont go back to 4wd when the car stops rolling.

pulled fuse in fuse box taken both sides of circuit into console by extending wires put inline fuse into circuit and inline toggle switch.still does not work.has anybody set one of these up to actually work and if so pls respond.

Your setup is the same as mine and it works well on our car and many of our customers cars also so i think you have some other problem.

Could it have anything to do with the 4wd system inspection thing in your car being red? i.e. it has had a major hiccup at some point in its life?

I've heard of another having this problem in a R32 GTR... Sorry Stace I dont have the answer...

must be a g sensor prob have to try another and see if that works

Yeah that's the thing i was talking about. I think your personal mechanic said that it was showing up red on the inspection window thing.

yeah he is a pretty clever personal mechanic if only i could drive as good as he can build tough gtr's
