I started to clean up and detail the rear wing as well

IMG_4925_zps3c490379.jpg

IMG_4926_zps2250c4f1.jpg

is actually a time consuming job but worth it in the end

Time to remove that nismo sticker I had on the back of the rear wing to make things smoother

I sourced some OEM parts thanks to my good friend Robbie $$slowmedown and even got to meet Marcus elrodeo666 who is a top bloke

IMG_0833_zps25aded09.jpg

but before any of this goes on I wanted to make certain I rust proof that wing

IMG_0839_zps58625737.jpg

these brackets were going to get the treatment of lifetime

IMG_0841_zps6920c1f8.jpg

first some rust-guard primer

IMG_1019_zps0aeecdbb.jpg

IMG_1017_zpscd794843.jpg

and then some anti-rust black (final) coat

I also decided to paint strip and lightly sand the rear wing stay pods

IMG_0999_zps31b53f73.jpg

IMG_1001_zps2950e5e3.jpg

IMG_1002_zpsdc2ccde7.jpg

then give them a coat of this

IMG_0930_zpsfa4de311.jpg

IMG_0931_zps0a13c606.jpg

again dupli*color DSSB01 (closest thing to Nissan Crystal White)

I haven't put a coat of clear on yet but will do so next time I take them off and then sand them down and cut to perfection

Want to work on my car for a few months ants?

I like how you've removed the nismo off the rear wing. I reckon the one on the bonnet should go too. What do you think?

lol bring the car around and I will

I will have to agree Scottie and will also remove the front nismo sticker

However, I have some other things to post up for now

I'll just trade you cars for the month mate... Feel the 3L power!

Then I can rack up the km's on yours and feel that AWD acceleration

that sounds like a great idea scottie - I will have to test drive the Scottie mobile someday and you can test drive mine :)

How much where the gaskets and Brackets? Mine is exactly the same :/

Its actually a common thing mate, and as the cars are aging it will become more and more susceptible to car cancer

All up it costs me less than $100 (still exy for what it is but thats Nissan)

Brackets were $55

Gaskets were supplied by Robbie at $40

Track time!

well firstly..........................................

IMG_0621_zps8e49e671.jpg

I gave the ant-eater some fresh blood and filter because I  her

one very early Sunday morning (5:00am)

IMG_1087_zps241cd9ee.jpg

On the way to Lakeside Parkway (raceway) - fog!

IMG_1086_zpsa65a1a9a.jpg

Fog was indeed foggy

IMG_1088_zpsd127c9f3.jpg

but then the sunrise changed everything

IMG_1091_zpsd370b9fc.jpg

after a little detour (thanks to shitty Iphail maps) I reached LP

IMG_1096_zpsce9aa3d1.jpg

our time on track (just happy laps) was in conjunction with the QLD EVO OWNERS CLUB which made things exciting

IMG_1103_zpsbfc53415.jpg

after a brief discussion with QR officials we were good to go

Can I say that I had a ball of a time and finally got use the cars full power on that straight

IMG_1115_zps0e276bcc.jpg

Being my first outing on track with this much power I was driving very cautiously but could certainly feel that the car needs much work with the suspension

IMG_1098_zps3a518b51.jpg

still had an amazing day and all can say is that its addictive and will not be the last time I go on track - a new chapter has started for this car ;)

a small video from an emo of the track time

IMG_1466_zpscc7e534f.jpg

IMG_1468_zpsfca06995.jpg

had so much fun

we were on track for almost an hour - I finally feel the tyres gripping and instantly feel more confident and the car was handling very well, but that QR track can be brutal on brakes (mine were smokin lol)

IMG_1409_zpse3e0be08.jpg

Certainly enjoy finally been able to use the car for what its built for :)

I had some water under my rear boot lip which caused some nice and abstract art at the back with the unburnt fuel

IMG_1418_zps765a1247.jpg

IMG_1419_zpsec3a75bd.jpg

but I got her nice and cleaned up when I got home

heres some video footage with expert on board commentary

Knowing that I want this car to find more grip and handle better it was time to get some new performance parts
