CRZY32
I'm hoping someone here has more sense than me and can help diagnose this strange problem. Driving home from a hard day at the track on a hot day, the car developed a splutter and would hardly boost at all. The engine revved freely but the turbos felt like they were choking and boost was limited to max 0-2psi. Boost has always been set to 17psi and previously holds steady. Factory boost controller. Knock levels are low always under 35. The next day the car was over boosting to 20psi, greater than the set limit of the modified actuators. After about 10 minutes of driving, the flutter started and the car felt like it was choking again. But retained boost, fluctuating around 15-20psi. I've visually checked most hoses and pipes but there's no obvious splits or loose joins. I've also cleaned the AFMs with contact spray. I'm guessing it might be waste gate actuator related and then the power FC is going into limp mode? CRZY32
Does the Apexi Power FC display factory fault codes? If yes, how do I initiate the diagnosis mode? XKLABA
I had a similar thing happen to me, when car warmed up I would lose boost, leave car to cool off and boost would return, ended up being the cat was stuffed changed it to a new high flow and problem never came back Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/416236-help-needed-with-boost-spluttering/#findComment-6686152 Share on other sites
paulr33
the pfc displays the standard errors and will turn on the check engine light or exhaust temp light on BNR32 you can look at etc, sensor sw check to look for any sensors with black highlight, this means a sensor has failed it wont be a sensor failed causing your issue it sounds like hot / melted vac lines or something simple Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/416236-help-needed-with-boost-spluttering/#findComment-6686156 Share on other sites

F/P - fuel pump O2H - O2 sensor setter? I'm unsure as to what these are and if they might be causing the issue.. Any ideas?
