Does anyone know of any fabricators who do custom wing support extensions for a 33 Gtr oem wing. Or anything similar?

Regards

Yes , example please

Do you want to go up or out or ?

carbon /kevlar/ glass /zylon

I'm want to go up slightly, kind of like the 34 gtr extensions. although something that i can simply bolt onto standard wing to raise for more downforce. Not sure on material maybe carbon fibre supports something simple and affective. Cheers

Which wing do you have now?

Yes taller is not a big deal

Yeah those extensions look sweet maybe abit shorter? Troy I have oem wing, do you make these things?

Can make anything ( except large parts like bonnets etc)

I would need some side shots of that style or hand drawing side on , a close up of the front side

and a tracing of your wing profile and upright profile to mock up a test version

please note a sharp plane holding up the wing works but the police will ask you to remove it for pedestrian safety ( by the time someone gets that far its bad anyway geez) so a little shape would be required to round off the blades slightly

Aerodynamics would improve anyway and it would be stronger as well

So if someone can do that I can whip up a test part for someone to fit up ? I know a local with r33 gtr wing but doubt he would consider using his car to test fit on , so need someone else

I could be interested in this too depending on price. Maybe if there's enough interest we could arrange a GB?

Bit soon for a GB lol

Gotta get a set made first to figure out time and materials

If I had a gtr boot with spoiler on my desk it would be done in a week or less , any spare floating around Adelaide ?

( yes I need to move from SAdelaide to QLD to have access to more club users haha)

Haha fair call. Just getting pretty excited about the prospect of this haha :D

I think psi parts already sell one..looks better than that too

Dont see one on there site ? I'm sure a bunch are around but at what cost ?

None are kevlar encased , that will help keep it from shatering , most are just flat plate carbon cnc cut and screwed on ? I know a few people who had the police ask them to remove the sharp blades on wings or remove the wing

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to come I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
