Minor Front Bar Damage, How Much Of A Hit To My Wallet?

After 7 years of driving with no scrapes or accidents (i've caused) i've finally done some damage to my car

Happened while leaving works car park, The wall i touched is a really rough textured wall which did a great job at taking off A LOT of paint.

Seeing the damage makes me feel sick and i want to get it repaired asap, i don't have too much time getting multiple quotes and would like some help with a ballpark figure in what a repair should cost me as i don't want to get ripped off.

My mate thinks it would be around the $300 mark but i have no idea... if anyone is able to help with a price range it would be great.

The car is: 2000 R34 GTT, 2 door, Paint is QM1 (Cloud White i believe?), ~86,000km's

$300 sounds about right. I have had similar repairs done by a mobile paint guy for $250, he does a great job too. i am in Perth, so no point passing on his contact details though.

Thanks mate, if it's around that mark i would pay it because i can't stand seeing/knowing it's there.

You should just fix it yourself (worse case is you waste like $30 and have to get a painter to do it)

get a pressure can of the skyline white paint code mixed up.

get a can of plastic primer, and maybe some blade putty/spray on putty if there are deep scratches (cant quiet tell from the pics)

and a can of clear coat.

and some wet/dry sandpaper.

Just in regards to what the guy above said ^, unless you're very confident with using putty/filler, and pressurized cans I'd strongly suggest it can be a lot more hassle an easier just to pay someone to do it professionally upfront.

Don't get me wrong if you're up for it give it a go, as it's worth being able to save $250-300 bucks. But, I've seen some home done jobs that look alright on completion but several months down the track they look shocking. Especially if you struggle at blending.

But it's up to you! It'd be mad if you can save yourself the cash I'd say $250-300 would be around what you'd have to pay too, going on a similar scratch that I've had.

I love the feeling of DIY but there is no chance i'm submitting my pride and joy to my painting skills.... haha

I'll be popping in to my local shop then after NYE and if it's near the $300 mark i'll book it in.

I'll post pics with updates and a rating on the shop after it's done as well
