overboosting problem

Hi

i just installed a turbosmart manual boost controller for my r33. The problem is it is overboosting to well over 1.0bar, even though the boost controller is turned right down.

i'm 100% sure it is installed right. would there be a vacuum leak somewhere where do i look?

I had the same problem with mine, and i have heard of many other ppl not being able to run anything under 1bar on them. I revalved mine by fitting a machined piece of metal and resizing the bleeder valve hole (if that makes any sense) basically i restricted bleeding and it allowed me to run lower boost than 1bar.

ok so doesn't a bleeder valve completley close when its turned right down? so basically it may not be restricting enough to keep the boost down

i got that turbosmart manual boost controller i run 14psi (set it during a hot day in summer) and even now with it being colder still only hits 14psi, i spike to about 14.5 psi if i dump the clutch thats about it.

Skyzer, yeah it doesnt completelty close the bleeder and therefor boost wouldnt drop below 1bar.

I just got an EBC, so i dont have those problems anymore. if you want accuracy i think EBC is the only way to go.
