Hi everyone,

I need to replace the OEM sound matting/insulation in the boot of my R32 V-Spec. It's actually the first car in this thread  It is having some work done in the boot and the original needs to be removed and replaced.

Does anyone know where to get anything like the original textured sound matting/insulation that is bonded to the boot floor behind the spare? Please see the comedically large yellow arrow in the image below. I want to try for an exact match. The car is completely stock.

Any help would be great!

Yeah this is awesome work by Mark. Clearly some of the figures I had previously quoted above were educated guesses. So will be nice to have it all detailed 100%.

Yes almost 4 years ago when I made those comments, it was based on my own research, but had no hard data to go by. 

I think all will be confirmed soon with the great work done as above - I've  used the GTR registry for many other GTR models and it is a great revelation.

So based on the registry at the moment;

118 N1's produced between 09/1991-12/1992 

64 N1 VSpec produced in 1993

63 N1 VSpec 2's produced in 1994

Total 245 N1's produced (not 228 as previously thought).

How many are still in existence is anyone's guess.

Hi guys I have just bought this 32 gtr can someone please confirm if this is a Vspec2? the car is all n1 optioned headlights, side skirts, rear windscreen/no wiper, knee pads, brembos etc.. looking at the compliance ending with "MA" what does this stand for?

It's V-Spec #1285/1396 not a V-Spec II ... 13th digit of model code KBNR32RBFS__MA M = No rear wiper as per your photo  V-Spec II model code would have been KBNR32RBFS8_MA
