AMI am having a difficulty of shifting from 3rd gear to 4th gear at 140kmh or 140+kmh. There is is always a " CRUNCH " noise when i shift from 3rd to 4th. but only in high speed range.

I've got a C's short shifter at the moment on my r33. My mechanic had that shifter on his 180sx(sr20) and i was told that shifter from 180 also fits o r33 gtst s2.

The noise may happen due to the gearbox syncro faults or else bcoz of that short shifter i have.

Can anybody tell me what exact problem is if somebody have experienced this ??

Short shifters are a good way to thrash synchros out.

It has nothing to do with the shifter if it operates the same way

People tend to fang a short shift harder is the problem , the short throw is less time to mesh for slap happy drivers " not double clutching yo"

Get a Nismo one they work a treat
