yes get a 3inch bellmouth dump...great little upgrade for less than 200$...get intercooler, fuel pump...But nistune isnt great with r33 so unless you can get one real cheap you're better off with a full standalone like PFC, Adaptronic, Link etc ... I wouldnt bother modifying the stock airbox much ...I suck 500hp thought mine no worries :D

nah mate, this is the one you want....they pop up in for sale section occasionally too if your patient..

then add this

thats about far as cheap upgrades go, after that its turbo, ecu, injector time and you will spend 3000$ pretty quickly..

Hypergear was selling Adaptronics cheap with hiflows not sure if he still is but for around 2000$ its your best bet....

that dump/front looks good, ill get that! :)

and they have a black cooler and piping similar to that!

i want it to be all black :)

thanks for your help mate! much appreciated

sounds good ,black is the way to go specially in Vic..

many say the blitz is a better cooler , you could always paint it black...that said I have a cheap china cooler and it works fine...

Any filter is good as long as its clean.. I have K&N filter too...they are the same filter as a VN commodore so cheap enough too ...Think I paid 60$ on sale at repco

yeh and im on my p's too :/ haha!

sounds good mate, thankyou!! :) :)

ok I probably didn't need to know that ;)

aim to keep the car looking clean and as stock as possible, outside and in and don't drive like a knob you never know what you will get away with...

build another drift hack you probably wont last a week... then again you might...who knows

haha ,love it

I hate mazda's and golfs! lol they are either cutting me off or tailgating me, thinking they deserve street cred...( yours is different though i hope)

id swap the return flow intercooler for the other type , you can use the hole there for an awesome cold air intake with a 4inch intake pipe,

also id think what turbo your going to get and how serious you are before the dump, if hypergear stick with your $200 pipe..

4" cold air intake through 2.5" hole?

oh i forgot to mention, i used a tool on the drill and made it 4inch, then you can get some rubber trim to make it look nice and stock looking and hook up your 4inch pipe :)

its a very good supply of cold air , might need to change the filter more often though from the increased dust and dirt being blown in

and whats vic popo gunna say when they see your big hole and more than 1 Intake mod ??

hes gunna have hard enough time getting a turbo past them as it is let alone a turbo with a bunch of "awesome" mods..

    • I love the undertray, especially the flappy bit for easier access for serving I'm thinking of fabing up one at work for the MX5 while I still have access to the metal shop at work with a guillotine and press brake Whilst removing the plastic undertray on the MX5 isn't to hard, I love the idea of a 2 bolt flap as opposed to removing the whole thing
    • Great thank you for that. Yeah that is the bumper and spoiler it still has i just hadn't heard of it being referred to as a aero form bumper before. Really appreciate your help.
    • A little progress; I took the opportunity of an oil change to take a sample for oil analysis, will be interesting to see how it was treated for its first 125,000klm (I know how it has been treated since ) I went with 5w40 and will see what that does for oil pressure at higher revs. Also fitted the Z1 front undertray....a little more sturdy than the plastic factory one (although I suspect it won't stop a tree stump ) Nicest thing about it really is the 2 bolt "service panel"....a gift to the oil changer compared to removing 14 bolts holding the factory tray.
    • I think a scissor lift is better/faster in most cases, but I guess it does obstruct access to the centre of the car? BTW I weighed the quick jack. 3.5 tonne model is 50kg for each side. So yes, portable, but not with one finger
    • Not a huge update because still waiting for some fittings for the intake. But I did corner weigh the car, its enough to make a GTR driver cry at 1163kg (race ready except no fuel)  Sorry about the terrible pics but I think they are readable With 70kg driver
