So I bought a skyline last year, r33 n/a. A few days ago I drove a 32 gtr and I was wondering why my car doesn't pull like the gtr does? I mean... They're both skylines!

If anyone could help with this unknown extravagant myth, it would be greatly appreciated!

Probs cause it has a hyundai motor man, better get that checked, damn these grey imports!!

The sarcasm is strong with this one.

LOL! im not surprised =p Rb20e is probably = to a 1.3 litre yaris =p

I wouldn't be threatend if an rb20e r33 lined up my diahatsu.... I'd put money on the hatsu lol

i had a n/a r34, i was happy with it with looks, it was bayside blue and shit so in a way it was worth it for looks and handling, and even after 3 years and only 75XXXkm on it i only lost 2grand for what i paid and bought a wicked turbo one but that was pure luck how much i sold it for, in saying that. performance was so so so so so....... slow!! someone refereed to a camry, i think the toyota is faster. on a hot day it was embarrassing. if you want a quick n/a stay well away from the japs, if it has a turbo model, the n/a will most likely be very slow. there are some sleeper v6 cars out there like toyota aurions or in 4cyl mazda 3 sp25. the unexpected cars have the power. and as for cops, i hardly ever get pulled over on my opens even with a big fmic hanging out, but with p plates on a plain standard r34 i was rapped for ''rbt'' so they say. my advise is wait, buy a piece of shit and your turbo car. spend money on your turbo car so buy the time you get your opens you have had 3 years to build the car you want :)

OMG. It seems as though you do learn from your mistakes.

But no one listens to what we say.

I've never thought of owning an NA Skyline as a mistake. It may have been relatively slow but could still hold its own quite well on the day to day. Handles just as well as turbo variants and looks decent inside and out. It's not going to win any races but it's still a great experience.

Haha considering the fact that a rb20e only has around 100kw, thats a 0-100 time of 10 seconds ish. (from calculation of the 147kw rb25de 0-100 8 seconds).

Daihatsu however depending on what model average 9 seconds =p Ontop of that they are front wheel drive, andddd they are lighter! So yea by my calculations daihatsu will be the winner! What i dont understand is why nissan made a inline 6 when their 4cyl ca18 and sr20 surpasses it in power (n/a).

my 12r toyota engine is wicked fast.

faster than my gtr at the moment....

but lack of tuning parts means im looking at an sr conversion :(

But.... ATM your GTR gets beaten by a push bike lol

read the title, my $2.00 (cause N/A's always cost 100x more)

delemma with n/a rb's

stock = slow, but that'll do

a little modified = will want more eventually

all out nuts modifications - pig to drive down low

pushing it even further with sleeves and fj20 pistons and stroker cranks etc but eventually you will think and know its cheaper to drop in another motor which has double the power from factory and even have that engineered with plenty of change
