hey, Question - how can you tell when you require a new thermostat?

Going to do a service in a couple of weeks time, RB25det is a fair bit sluggish prior to warmup these days.

In the old days I used to take it out and put it in a kettle with a thermometer and watch the temp on the thermometer and see when it opened or activated the circuit.

Not perfect but it always let me know if it was working properly...

Also it is a thermostat... $35 to $40 just change it lol ;)

when your car overheats.....

they're not expensive so if its old just replace it.

Oh ok, Thx guys. Car doesn't overheat, radiator is pretty fresh. Due for my home service, and probably needs the timing checked. Can't afford dyno time, still :( just sluggish on cold start....

Mobilecouch - see Shaun Dunns at Boostworx, or Martin Donnan at Willal racing.

had my powerrun done today at willall -160kw @4psi and 180kw @ 8psi

i enquired about the ecu while i was there. they said that because it's an "older" skyline that they'd charge more to get the work done but they'll tune it once ive finished modding. meh.

ill give boostworx a call on monday.

can anyone recommend a workshop in adelaide that sells and fits a z32 ecu with nistune to suit a rb25det?

Jaustech brother, tell them Wayne sent you :)
