Nm35 Autech Axis - Electric Seat Issues?

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here but have been reading for a while, so hi all . I'm currently looking at a stagea with a broken electric seat (I understand this is a pretty common issue). It's a 2002 NM35 Autech Axis with the heated leather electric seats, I just wanted to get some opinions as to common issues/fixes for this problem. All other functions appear to work except for the back and forth motion (the only one you really NEED haha, typical). Does anyone have any experience with this?

also, the adjustment on the seat does work from time to time if that makes any difference?

It will just be dirty terminals. You can sometimes get away with just spraying some cleaner in from above. But your best bet is to pull the seat out and disassemble the switches and clean them properly.

It's very common. Mine had it when I first bought it

mine had it, removed seat, removed switches, opened up and cleaned, continued to work.

I used jaycar contact cleaner and lubricant.

i replaced the motor and that wasnt it (apparently r33 motors are the same), then i replaced the switch and its back up and running (all under warranty though)

I know it's a long shot, but is there any chance you still have the spare motor & you want to sell it to me? Pretty sure one of mine has had it. Already blasted the switch, can hear the motor itself trying to switch on, but it's just not moving the seat!
