Gday all, not sure why im doing this(the sound???im going mad???)but anyway ive got a rb30 lying around and some gtr throttles also and thought id put them to use.

Plan is to do away with the rb26 head>throttle piece of alloy and make a kinda triple dcoe manifold using the base of the rb30 plenum and some bits and bobs welded on, similar to this:

manifold%20Hemi%203%20x%20DCOE%20-%20650.jpg

My only questions are how long should the runners be?(was thinking shorter the better but have to avoid the water inlet)and also how the hell can i get it to run?(mods to the head?standalone ecu?) i have the gtr plenum so could i use the rb30 afm/tps etc and hope for the best? ive never modified anything like this before so id just like a little advice.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Steve

Mate, I'd leave it.

better to spend the money doing a 26 head conversion.

but, if you are that bored and have the skill to do the work yourself, why not try adjustable runners.

put it on a dyno, and adjust until you get the best response.

if you do go ahead, keep us updated.
