So these "attacks" are being caused by someone? Or bugs/viruses? Combination of both?

Can it be tracked or something?

Not too clued up on this type of thing but if someone needs a gearboxing I'm sure it can be arranged, I have one on standby

Generally attacks are scripts / bots that scan for websites or predefined websites (off a list) for predefined values or text ie: ipb3 (forum software) then try to hack various parts (vunrabilities) / exploit various bugs within their software to do anything from posting adult websites, promoting other websites gain admin access (for mailing lists, user details) etc.

Most of the time pain to track because they use anonymous ip software / servers or other hacked computers etc.

Yeah mate, Invision released a patch today that (I believe) addresses this.

I'll be applying it tonight. There'll be no downtime as it doesn't contain db changes.
