Brake Caliper Rebuilds... Where In Vic

As the title suggests, i need to know where i can get a set of R34 GTT calipers rebuilt somewhere in VIC, preferably close to Melbourne. Some dodgy motherf*cker on SAU sold me a set that looked good from the pics but didn't tell me that he had painted over moving parts of the calipers and that most of the rubber seals were basically melted.

I've already called up a few places and got some quotes on approximate prices. Just wanted to get some opinions of other SAU's who have some previous experience in getting calipers rebuilt.

These are for an N/A upgrade incase your wondering.

So any suggestions on where to get them overhauled??

You can get the rebuild kits off ebay etc and if you have a compressor then its pretty simple to do yourself..

I agree with battery. Get yourself the seal kits, a tube of rubber grease and get dirty!

Pretty easy job really.

Race Brakes will do it (just over the Westgate), and supply the kit - for around $150 from memory if you don't wanna do it yourself.

Thanx for the suggestions guys. Keep them coming. I will call up the already suggested places on Monday and get a quote from each.

I'm aware that there are several D.I.Y rebuild kits out there but i am not confident in my ability to do the job myself. Rather get it professionally done so i know everything's been done right... hopefully.

Fair enough, brakes are not something you wanna f**k up so its worth paying for labour if your not 100% confident.

Ended up getting them done at SuperStop on Whitehorse Road, Mont Albert, VIC.

They gave me a good, solid price for a complete overhaul regardless of condition and included parts and labour.

Handed the calipers in today so they should be ready within a few days.
