RB30e -> RB25 Head Conversion

Wondering if anyone has ever done a head conversion from an RB30E (non turbo obviously) to an RB25 or RB20 , and if so , which one is easiest. and THEN! how much am I looking at spending on this job.

why would you do something so silly?

thats taking a backwards step, putting a SOHC on a motor that came with a DOHC

total waste of money for no gain

Not sure why you would want to do it .

but any way a rb25 head fits on the rb30 block,

so a rb30 head should fit on a rb25 block . you would just need to block the frount cam bering/vvt oil gally or you will end up with messy coolant

if you DO mean rb25 head on to a rb30 block . yes its been done several times. have even done one my self
