So my non turbo skyline has a idling problem. The car would just start reving itself out and holding. For example it would rev up to 1900-2000rpm and just stay there. I would rev the car and sometimes that brings it DOWN but most of the time it doesnt. Take it out of gear sometimes also brings it down.

Ive been told its a problem with the throttle position sensor. Ive tried moving the sensor a few times but i can never get the car to hold steady. Im wondering if buying a replacement would fix this problem. Thanks.

could be a number of things.... TPS is certainly one it will be a process of ilimination on these things. Could be AFM also? Sticky throttle?

start eliminating one by one and keep us informed so we can assist further :)

This leads me to think that the first thing to change would be the tps... but as said above it could be a process of elimination, I have a working tps, afm, aac valve and more so if you need anything shoot me a pm :)

Cheers
