I'm looking at learning how to drift (rip skids on public road (just kidding))/hitting the track but don't plan on taking my daily to do it (its pretty hopeless for those things) and I've been tossing up between a few chassis'.

I've been a Nissan man but I never quite learnt what made them tick, their characteristics etc, like I have with Honda's and Mitsu's. I was looking at either R31's, S13 or a 180sx. Something cheapish, turbo or not is irrelevant as I'm learning and don't want to break something expensive.

I have been looking and have seen some fine examples of R31's (hence posting on SAU) with some work done, for relatively cheap. I want to know though, when it comes to 'driftability' and also things like parts (in case something breaks and what not) which would be best? I'm like the R31 for its pricing and stuff like that, but it seems stuff is more available for the S chassis. Can anyone shed light on my dilemma?

Cheers!

Squeege.

A s13or 180 would be better than a r31 in my eyes just diff wise and suspension a lot more less body roll from factory then a 31 and not alive axel diff which ud have to weld up n put s13 coil overs in it anyways better off heading for a 13 or 180
