Knocking From Rear Passenger Wheel When Breaking - M35

Hi,

I noticed a troubling sound on my 03 M35 (not ARX), when I am slowing down to a complete stop once and I get down to about about 20kph I get a random intermittent 'knocking' sound that sounds like its coming from the rear passenger wheel. Any thoughts? I have also noticed that occasionally the 4WD warning light (well I assume it's a warning light?) comes on which may be related. I haven't got means to read the engine codes at this stage so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would be checking all the bolt tensions first.... caliper bolts etc.

make sure the wheel is on properly.

check driveshaft.

check bushes.

check brake pads.

stick your head under there and have a look, or I dunno, take it to a mechanic?

I think you should get it checked asap, sounds like the brake calliper is loose. You will need to get a Consult 3 reader on it to check out the attessa code. I have one here if you are local.

Also check front sway bar link nuts for tightness.

Thanks for the advice, also got some bearing and tyre issues so I will definitely get it sussed out this weekend if I can! And thanks to everyone elses advice haha, most of it was helpful
