im guessing its something like a bosch or something and cant pick up right from the bottom, i had to change my pump (stock) to and 040 (my decision) kinda overkill atm cause im not pushing tones of power but it sounds like that could be happening to you,

but i guess others can help out more, you prob need to find out what pump you have

Cheers matt i axualy have about 500-510 hp at the wheels so im thinkn there might be some upgrade on the pump ( not shaw if a stock one could pump that hp out ) if it does come down to being that problem i might have to upgrade...

doubt stock could.... if its only happening when its getting below 1/4 then just fill up earlier, i can run under a 1/4 but i dont have anything to monitor what my fuels doing, running lean ect, also it depends how low the pump is mounted, i think its best to find out what you have... cause without knowing exactly it could be something else. if you compare stock, or walbro pumps vs something like a bosch you can see why it cant pick up fuel low in the tank

Thanks mate i do fill up earlier now but being my daily driver im goin to the petrol station twice a week...now i know others dont have the same problem with the fuel i know it must be something to do with the car or the pump....

Your fuel gauge is f**ked.

If you're getting near on 500ks out of a tank, even going light on the wellie, you're doing very well and likely running the tank just about dry. My 33 on 98 would struggle to get 400 and my Stag on 98 gets ~430.

The fact you're on E85 means you're potentially using up to 30% more fuel than you would on 98 meaning you're running the equivalent of about 600ks from a tank. Your car is magical. There's a leprechaun under bonnet and he's pissing E85 into your intake.

Readjust your brain to accept that 1/4 = empty and you'll be right.

just to clear it up im on 98 not 85,

also what the above guy said could be right too, i didnt realise you were making that many kms per tank as is, my car untuned with the 040 is getting 360-380 per tank, filling up early cant remember what i was getting from a full tank... but the 360ish means about 11.5L/100kms... so yeah i think the post above is right, fuel gauge

Im amazed no one has asked. How many litres do you put in when it is at "1/4"?

Lol 500k's per tank is awesome. All highway i get 400-450. Heavy foot driving, fuel? My car thinks its water haha

true, sorta just noticed he didnt know what the pump was and thought that was the issue, i also didnt realise he was getting an awesome amount of kms to the tank!

Wtf? You need to check your reading ability. Never did i call you a liar. And i asked a specific question, how much fuel do you fill when it leans out?

Oh, mine is also on e85 hero

    • Atmospheric vent requires something that doesn't use a MAF for load. You would need a standalone ECU for that.
    • Hey all,   I’ve got an RB25 with a trigger kit that includes a crank wheel, and I’ve hit a wall trying to sort a timing belt tracking issue. The belt either rides right on the edge of the cam/crank pulleys or walks slightly forward once the engine starts. It tracks okay-ish for a moment, then creeps right to the edge—and honestly, it’s stressing me out.   I’ve spent hours removing and reinstalling the belt, double-checking everything:   Tensioner setup is good, checked multiple times Idler pulley and washers are all in the correct places Followed the RB25 timing procedure step-by-step     The only thing I changed was the rear crank washer—I swapped the OEM one for a Neato version, and it made things worse. The belt now sits even more forward than before. I’m beginning to think the crank trigger wheel itself (from the trigger kit) is the issue—poor design or slightly off dimensions.   What’s strange is that with the previous belt setup, it actually ran fine for a couple of years—around 4,000 to 5,000 miles, even with hard driving and high RPMs. But even then, the belt was always riding right on the edge, and I know that’s not ideal or safe long term.   At this point, I’m debating whether to:   Machine a few mm off the crank trigger wheel to bring it back in line, or Replace it entirely with a better-designed unit     Only thing is, I already have the Cherry Hall sensors, bracket, etc.—I just want to replace the wheel only, not the entire kit. Anyone know a brand or supplier that sells just the crank trigger wheel on its own?   Would really appreciate any feedback—especially from anyone who’s run into this exact issue and found a reliable fix.   Thanks in advance.
    • Hi...a little refresh. Is Nistune gonna be enough to run BoV? Or do i need some proper ECU?
    • Yep that's pretty much what I want to see. Racecars that look and sound like the Group A but with newer tech underneath to make them faster and safer. I'm sure there's enough VK-to-VN commodore, E30 BMWs and Foxbody mustangs shells around to make up a decent number of cars with hopefully a couple of sierras, rx7 and R31s in there too.
