Hey guys,

Just bought my first skyline after owning many Silvia's 180SX all the way up to S15's, i've never been much of engine modifying kind of person i was always interested in looks and handling so i don't know squat when it comes to upgrading turbos etc.. i've found a standard skyline to be quite poo so im lusting for power, since all my other cars have been just body work.

Now i've done a little bit of research and decided on one of those Kando turbos as reviews have been great from the nissansilvia.com boys on their cars and for a good price, i've gone through the thread for the RB25 turbo setups but haven't found much on the TD06-20G so thought ill come direct, please be nice :)

Also trying to do this on a budget, but will spend that little bit more if need be.

Car is a 1999 R34 GTT Sedan

List SO FAR.

-3" Anti-Surge TD06SL2-20G w/ T3/10cm/V-Band External Gate

-Bosch 044 Fuel Pump

-Tomei Poncam 260 Duartion IN/EX with 9.15mm Lift IN/EX

-Bosch 750cc Injectors

-3" Dump/Front Pipe

-Tial 44mm External Gate.

What i Already Have

-Fujitsubo 3.5'' Cat Back exhaust system

-Splitfire coil packs

-Greddy Oil Cooler

-Greddy Front Mount intercooler return flow

Like i've said i really don't know what im doing here.. so please some guidance would be awesome, the list of the things i have to buy im not really sure if i've picked the right stuff. So a little nudge in the right direction would be appreciated!

Thanks Guys!!

    • Ha ha ha, mine loves to spend, all on the dogs (they're our kids, and her spending would likely rival that of some people raising children!) the only benefit is, her spending is tax deductible as she runs a business in the dog industry 😛 The above all means she can spend race car budget quicker than I can. 😛 That and a lot of the things I want are very expensive, and I can be a bit "you want how much for that?!" And at other times overly impulsive. Or I start the w days of research, get to day 1.5 and get really annoyed that no one will advertise actual specifics and it's just marketting BS and I go "well, now I don't want anything to do with that now!" Also I hate paying lots of money for something I can make from $50 in materials. Then I get the shits halfway through making things and wonder why others who just buy parts have more fun... 😛
    • Their 240Z with the RB26 would be a real nice thing to have in a garage to come out for an occasional weekend cruise It's such a cool thing in so many ways Sadly, we have a blue 240Z shell that I walk past every day, just sitting outside a shed at work, it has been slowly disintegrating and falling apart into the ground for the last few years, the owner cannot be found, and I am unable to "claim it" I've been told by work and the RMS, the rust in the body is excessive though, and it has had most of the salvageable stuff, like panels, trim and switch gear stripped off it over the last year or two, work keeps threatening to put it in one of our metal scrap bins, I wish they did though, as it makes Mark sad walking past it
    • Good tips, I like it! 😂😂 My wife is a LOT more frugal than me so it's only me we need to worry about! A splurge to her is buying 2 pairs of socks in one visit at Kmart!
    • Haha, the appropriate response to the question "Is this new?" is "I've had this for a while.". With the unspoken small print that a while may be the time since this morning or five years ago   And to be fair I learned that from the best, i.e. my wife. Because it goes both ways.
    • Yeah kids certainly add a whole another dimension to your life.  Life ceases to be about you and more about them for a while!  And I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love watching them play sport and make new friends along the way. Wow, sounds like your mate is a good guy to know!!!  He's got some serious toys in the toy box!  Yes it would be lovely to be able to do stuff to your car without getting all tied up in boring shit like how to pay for it!!  I would describe my spending style as "aggressively spontaneous and logical but regrettable purchasing"....  That will hopefully make no sense at all which would be appropriate given that is how I buy stuff.  I'll decide at the drop of a hat that I'm buying something expensive, research the living shit out of it for 2 days straight then go out and buy it.  Then I'll have instant buyers remorse for 2 days which generally passes by the time it turns up on the front step!  If I'm feeling ballsy sometimes I'll tell my wife.  Other times it just makes its way silently passed the house and out the back to the shed, never to be spoken of again...
