thanks for the info i will only go small scale turbo the extra comp will give the power i need atm

Just do the research around here and you'll be fine. Have a chat to some tuners in your area (preferably ones that have delt with imports) they'll generally lead u in the right direction aswell

... Side note, it's usually cheaper to sell the car and buy a turbo model

Nem, Nick, you might be thinking of me?

Still lurk around these areas and motor is still going strong.

Wiix your mechanic mate is wrong. You can push more through an N/A 25 but you have to put in the money for the right parts and spend the time/money tuning it correctly.

And has been said, injectors and turbo ecu for your current setup is most likely draining your power.

Sorry bro,yer there is a few guys that have done it lol. I considered doing to to my rb for a while until I popped the second motor haha... I imagine it can be done relatively cheaply with oem parts but I only skimmed that thread, high 190rwkw is a ball park zone isn't it?

Yeh, standard turbo parts + full length exhaust, boost controller and a little tuning is in the 190-200ish mark. pretty much identical to a turbo, just with more response.

Wholly shit, you're still alive!

Good to see.

I'm trying to remember who it was but its not coming to mind, may of been hanaldo maybe I duno it's irrelevant.

More to the point it can be done and with quite pleasing results. What would get most people I imagine is getting greedy and continuing to wind more and more boost in, in this situation with the high comp (something like 9.5:1? Not exactly sure) it will go pop....

I didn't turbo my NA motor, I swapped all my stuff in from a GTT wreck :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks again for the info do i need to purchase a tunable ecu ore use the current turbo one i have lying around and will a front mount be better that the stock side mount for turbo conversion
