I did a twin 2.5 inch on a rb26 in a 31

No mufflers

Sounded like a v-twin Harley f**king light plane on takeoff

Put mufflers on it or it will sound shit( ones that mix the exhaust)

Hmmm with my one the only things i will have to shut it up will be a hotdog (where the cat is meant to be :whistling:) a mid and rear muffler. Reckon it will sound ok?

yeah i recall will (japtaxi) running them something similar on his car back in the day! i dont know if he is still around....

i think i have pics somewhere and will check for you on weekend sometime

Sorry late reply but yeah I'm still around.. sort of

If my memory serves me correct, it was twin 3" dumps to twin 3" pipes, twin catalytic converters, no resonators, merge into single 4" boring factory looking muffler. It was done this way for factory/stealth look.

lol'd old workshop receipt said "exhaust system $3100" ... definitely not worth it.

Ill work out a couple of options today and post them up. If people want it ill start a group buy thread and link it here.

Id rather stick the group buy to one option as when I buy material and parts Ive got far more buying power doing them all in one material than I would having to buy less of each material.

Stainless is affordable, most of the cars we do are circuit racers than destroy exhausts in a year or two and mild steel is cheaper to replace so its the most used material.

Thin wall mild is fairly light as well.

Where are you getting thin wall mild steel tube from Brad... the larger sizes (4" and up) are 1.6mm thick wall which is standard.

What do you guys think a 4 inch system in mild steel would be worth?

Cat back (decat built in if needed)

Cannon rear muffler

Resonator in the center

Proper bolted rubber mounts

Flanged rear section

It will be no means be a quiet exhaust system.
