Melbourne: Stolen R31 Saturday 27/01/2013 (Brunswick)

Guys Please keep your eyes peeled, My burgandy R31 was stolen from Lygon Street Brunswick last night with plates UHF-481, it's pretty easy to spot plus it's got a loud exhaust lol

it's been reported to police and my insurance company today so they're on the look out

If anyone has any info please text or call me on 0451 082 343 or call the cops and notify them of the car's location

Also might help to list what's done to the car or anything specific that is eye catching in case parts are stripped to be sold

the MODS are as follows:

-JDM projector headlights

-U-weld sports coilover suspension w/ R33 GTS-T turbo calipers painted Red

-17" CST Hyper Zero wheels bronze in colour

-LSD

-Brand new Alpine Head unit

-Brand new HERTZ speakers front and rear

-Remus exhaust tip oblong shaped

I've heard that some thefts end up around glenroy or deer park etc...if anyone lives around those areas please keep a look out, might get lucky!

What sort of alarm / immobiliser did it have and where was it parked?

i didn't have any alarm or immobiliser, i was planning on installing my power windows and mirrors and installing an alarm with that, i should have done it before i did any mods. read the first post for details

I just got a lead on the possible whereabouts of my car, someone spotted in Thomastown On dalton road near maccas turning onto the freeway, he said 90% that it's mine, If anyone here lives in or around the area, please keep a look out and confirm sighting! if anyone sees it and it's 100% mine, call 000 and report it.

The ehaust looks like this, cos i didn't put a pic up of it beforehand

so they found my Burgandy R31 this morning, dumped in a private driveway, no wheels/suspension/diff, no tailights and headlights battery, grille, stereo and some other various bits...basically sitting there on the rails, It still has engine and interior and hopefuly panels are in good shape they can be salvaged! Can anyone help out with towing? cops said it would cost $700 to tow it to a yard, not worth it imo...i need a garage with a hoist!

Epping, i live near caulfield, so it's a problem for me to get there easily, i need to strip it down and get rid of the shell, i could do it this weekend...if i didn't have so much Shit to do!

I just called my insurance, they will be paying for the towing, so i called cops back and they will inquire and get back to me,

Don't the cops need it for inspection and fingerprinting? Not that it's going to lead to anywhere but I thought that was standard procedure?

yeah they would have done everything they could, the car was left outside so he said that fingerprints would have been compromised by now
