Hey guys. I've got a S1 Stagea with an open wheeler in it. I've also got a s15 hlsd in the garage. Both the axels and diff are 6 bolt and the diff has abs, like the car. With the changing of the backing plate, would this diff fit into the Stagea?

Yep,

The S1/S2 RWD Stagea's use an R200 diff casing the same as the turbo versions of the S13/S14/S15/R32/R33/R34. The only difference between them is that some are 'long nose' (ABS) and some are short nose (non abs) also the S13/R32 nose mounts are a effectively solid mounted but providing you have the mounting bolts to go with it, it'll still fit. Stagea uses the larger 2 bolt backplate. The same as the S14/S15/R33/R34. So it should have just dropped straight in.

I recently fitted an Nismo GTPRO into mine. I'd had it in an S14 and an R33 before it landed into the Stagea. Only thing i had to do was add the ABS rings to the differential output shafts (they are specific to the diff core, so you can't just use the standard stagea ones)

wat does this leave for a s1 stagea auto?? wat options are there?

I am sure a number of diffs would fit in the stock casing but I have a complete R32 GTR diff and axles.

Have a read of this (but be aware you probably have a 4.083 diff)

A new Nismo LSD should go straight in but other Nissan diffs ahould fit.

There are two different bolt patterns. You can either find the diff with the same bolt pattern as your half shafts or buy different half shafts to go into the diff. To the best of my knowledge the splines are the same in the diff and half shafts.

I have a s1 auto that has been converted to manual. If I got a entire s15 helical diff I could just use centre, stub axles and bearings and it should all just dropp in with some adjustment for backlash?
