Hello,

i have HKS hyper D coil overs,

front left one has a bad knock in it when going over sharp bumps.

need to get a suspension place who knows what they are doing to take it apart and see whats wrong with it?

any suggestions in western suburbs or the city?

anyone ever gone to pedders with another brand shock?

thanks.

Austin

Don't bother going to pedders, they're useless.

It's not in Melbourne but Chad's Off Road Setups in Geelong might be able to help you out. I'm not to sure if he's dealt with car coilovers much but he's well equipped to work on dike bike, road bike and off road buggy/car suspension.

I pulled down and serviced my own coilovers, I just had to go to him to fill them with nitrogen.

It's worth calling to see what he can do.

In North Melbourne - TruTrack

They are hella busy though, so you'll need to book in advance. If it's knocking it could just be a worn strut top if they are aftermarket and old, pretty common and cheap fix (just buy new ones).

Be prepared to pay though if it's something else... It'll get expensive pretty quick if it's rebuild and what not as you'll do both fronts at the same time etc.

There is another place out in Bayswater that is doing some interesting things on a very affordable scale (ie, just replace the lot with new stuff) that a very good friend of mine has started using (it's custom gear, but very well priced). If you need more info lemme know.

thanks for the suggestions, will ring around at lunch today and get them booked in

and yeah ill be getting both checked out (especially if one has developed issues)

and fingers crossed its just the strut top.

Thanks guys,

booked in at Centreline, will see how it pans out.

Centreline Suspension in Thomastown should be able to fit you in next week, once they come back from Bathurst
