That servo is no good PJ as it's on the wrong side of the traffic island. I have been thinking maybe one of the side streets in Huntingwood as the streets are quite big & with ample parking. Everyone can then organize themselves. A good point by k_d in the ACT section too: RMS, Police & possibly EPA might have a 'station' set up.

Is there a concrete kerb or just a double line at that servo to head to EC?

Is huntingwood the road where the eastern creek tavern is? Might be the go, just depends on how many other people other than SAU have the same idea

We will have a trader booth but it isn't big enough to have all the club members. Club members that want to be together should arrange a meet up point before so that they arrive together. I imagine there will be both VIP and non-VIP SAU members.

I can see parking being a complete nightmare......100's of cars arriving at close intervals all wanting to be parked next to friends cars but those spots are already taken by other cars. The best way to do it efficiently would be for the organisers to just have a line each for different manufacturers (honda, nissan, mazda, toyota and red ss-v holden utes).

Also using some quick maths, even if cars were parked closely like at a Westfields.....the entire drag paddock area will be used including all the grass area around the corner (which has very minimal lighting)

That's what we're trying to do Eric! Trying to keep it local to the track for everyone (especially out-of-towners who don't know Sydney) is going to be the easiest way to meet up.

Now here comes the hard part:

1. Where to meet?

2. What time can the majority meet?

VIP entry is from 5:30, so maybe meeting up at 5:00?

Where?

Looking at the WhereIs site, maybe down the bottom of Liberty Rd (where it says Liberty Rd on the map) off Huntingwood Dr would be a good place?

If you head down liberty road from the ec tavern on the opposite end of the road is a culdesac where a stratco building is. could be a good place to meet up.

I'm heading straight from work, if I can duck out early I'd be there about 5:10ish depending on traffic

That is right where the NSW Police Highway Patrol HQ is lol.

I would suggest a meet up at 4:30pm as the whole area will be packed.

LOL! Well I'm about to go for a drive around there to check it out. If anyone is going to have issues about being near HWP HQ, we can change it.

Don't forget it is an industrial area, most streets are full of employee's cars and semi-trailers until after 5pm (im usually there until 6pm loading pallets). However 1 street that is never full is Healey Circuit (the eastern end, at the corner of Huntingwood Drive, which is directly opposite Rocket Industries).

I'm going to try to get a couple of execs to pitch in some ideas about meet up points. I know everyone in here is trying to assist and some good feedback and ideas.

It's just a logistical nightmare considering all the cars and other clubs that will be in attendance facing the exact same dilemma. Remember, the other clubs will be going through this same discussion, hence why I say expect all close in side streets, lots, etc to be a bit chockers.

Also, we want to ensure that this event doesn't become a drama for the local businesses. If they complain then it could cause problems for the organisers.

Agreed Ben. After driving around I found The Rocket Industries end of Healey Cct to be the go, because of the long uninterrupted left side of the street. I'm just hoping it's not a favourite for truck drivers!
