Hi guys

I've just recently bought a 2011 GTR and noticed there are cracks in my rotors where they are drilled and has now been taken back to the dealer to work things out he asked if I wanted aftermarket or factory... Should I go factory or is this going to just happen again also what aftermarket rotors and brakes do yous recommend the dealers paying for them :)

Thanks

In the UK/Europe there is a known problem with cracked rotors due to people tracking the car and not cooling the brakes properly. If you look at the UK forum it's well documented.

Most people me included have gone aftermarket with either Alcon or AP racing rotors. I think DBA is quite popular here also.

General consensus is that the aftermarket rotors are better and don't crack.

i used AP slotted and j-hooks for over two years tracking, and watched several others also, without incident and no warped rotors. the AP's will eventually craze/crack if pushed very hard but they will last 2x to 4x longer vs the OEM's We found the best street/track comrpomise pads were endless MX72's and more track oriented the ccRg's

I'm Mike from Prosport Auto - We are the NZ Agent for ENDLESS Brakes.

We've found just like LSX-438, that the MX72 are the best light track and road pad.

For highly modified street and tracked R35 GTR's, we have found ME20 racing compound to be far better than the CCRg compound.

It's lasts longer and performs much better - and it's the same price!

ENDLESS Currently do replacement GTR discs also, a full hat and bobbin replacement.

They are developing a rotor/bobbin replacement only at the moment to bring initial cost down.

Please let me know if you guys need any more info about the ENDLESS Brakes.

Cheers, Mike

Most of my friends with R35 GTR, use Alcon discs with Endless pads or Pagid pads. They perform very good. Try JDL for GTR Alcons http://www.jdl-brakes.com/nissan-gt-r-r35/brake-discs.html

+1 for Alcon rotors from JDL
