AVCR Solenoid

Ive played around with avcrs on some other cars, but ive never really examined the solenoid.

I bought avcr as part of the group buy 2 months ago, Ive just had a full look through everything and noticed this on the solenoid... Is this normal?

Its all brand new, only just took it out of the plastic to take the photo.

What do you mean the thrid port... yeh they all have that. Depending whether you are running an external wastegate or std internal, you have to use a specific port... is that what you were asking

is the 'specific port' to do with the way the EBC holds the gate open?

cuz EBC use electrical pulses on the solenoid to keep it open, and if u were running and external gate this would be heard as a weird flapping noise or somehting?

In the hole, the thing looks like its broken.

I just dont want to install it all to find the solenoid is broken

u can see in the hole it looks like its broken or something, it doesnt look 'even' like its been machine cut or anything

Mine is the same. Mine is the pfc boost control kit but still same solenoid. Still havent installed it yet.

as about 10 people have said... its ok.

It's probably explained in you manual if you care to read it

It doesnt say in the manual why the piece of cast steel inside the solenoid looks like its broken
