Noob Question About Series 1 And 2S

Hey guys

before i start YES ive already done research

now i have a 95 model r33 4 door, im looking at buying some splitfires. now i know that series 1 run an ignition box as the series 2 are built in the coilpack??

mine has no ignitor box but it does have the 4 holes in the coil pack cover. I know i have already probably answered it myself but i just want to to know is there

any other way apart from the coilpacks turbo to know if its series 1 or 2. i just dont want to buy the wrong coilpacks and waste 600!!!

yea i thought so, but i brought a series 1 power fc, ( well i think its a series 1) plugged it in and it runs fine boosts fine etc.

The ECU doesn't care if the ignitor is in the coilpack or separate. It just sends a signal and the ignitor (wherever it is) runs the coil.

not at all, I didn't think there was a PowerFC made for Series 1 and one made for Series 2..

Yuh, the only real difference between them is that the air-con computer controls the idle-up on S2.
