Hay fellas

I'm starting to build my r34 gtt and i want to get about 260 to 300 kw at the rears.

So far I have a blitz return flow fmic

A pod filter

A 3 inch dump pipe to cat, And 4 inch cat back.

Is the 4inch cat back exhaust to big ?

Or should I buy a turbo to suit ?

On the to buy list is

Turbo

Injectors

Fuel pump

And ecu and tune

Am I missing something ?

Cheers

also easy to get massive kw,

just buy the usual shopping list tonns of fuel lots of over priced parts with a massive turbo and you will smash massive hp

also have a shit as all hell car to drive which will last for 3 months.

hard to make big kw, usable, reliable and well tuned.

Aim for 260 rather than 300 unless you have to have 300. Then get a Hypergear bolton, unless you're rich. Nistune ECU if you want to keep it as close to standard looking legal as possible, otherwise just about any aftermarket ECU will do the job (Hypergear will want to sell you an Adaptronic, which is OK, others here will tell you to go PowerFC, or Link or it's cousin, all of which are OK).

If you retain Nistune or PowerFC you'll need a Z32 AFM. Get some fuel system upgrades and a tune and you'll be gold.

Oh, and a clutch. Oh, and some better brakes. Oh, and thnik about making sure the dampers aren't dead, and the bushes. And so on.

Yep.

Clutch

Brakes

Suspension

Diff

Wider wheels and good tyres

That is roughly 6k just there and without it you 260rwkw car will be slower than a car with those mods and only 200rwkw

At 200rwkw my injectors were maxed and clutch started to slip.... So yes you certainly need to upgrade all the supporting items....

and at 360rwkw your clutch decided it wanted to be permanent part of your fly wheel.

I've read this 3 times and I'm still trying to work out what you were trying to communicate...

Lol yes this is correct....

Shows when building a decent GTT that overkill is never enough :)

better than the flywheel wanting to make close friends with your ankle... seen that too.

easy to make power, hard to make a good car

Kind of irrelevant for OP.... GTT is a tough base and a damn good car when built right

I will aim for 260 but if I can get more I won't complain :)

So a 4 inch cat back exhaust is over kill ?

I run a 3" system and I'm making 363kw, that being said the exhaust is choking the car a tad I reckon BUT 4" is not necessary.... If you go 3.5" then make sure it has big free flowing mufflers and none of this hotdog and cannon crap :)

if you already have it, just leave it on. it's overkill, but doesn't mena you need to go buy something smaller.

Good pick up, I didn't see that.... Yeah keep it if it's quiet and street able

E85 also masks some of that too.

If you tried it on pump you'd be unlikely to get there :)
