Hey guys,

As most of you know i've been trying to sell my car for a while now - (http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=13563101) and have been having some difficulties. It's getting to the point now where i REALLY need to sell it, so i've started to consider parting it out and selling it stock + bodykit. Everything is still in perfect order...Here are the items I could strip off easily:

  • Motordyne Engineering TDX2 Catback Exhaust with Titanium Tips (Basically the best exhaust possible for the V35 and 350Z)
  • Motordyne Engineering ART Pipes (Replace the cats)
  • Motordyne Engineering 5/16 Plenum Spacer
  • Stock Z Tube (ideally as a combo with the below Pod Filter)
  • JWT Pod Filter w/ Heatshield
  • 20“ Vertini Fairladys Rims (slight rash on passenger side and some clear coat is pealing off)
  • Nissan 350Z Springs
  • UpRev Tuner Package

Also selling:

  • Stock V35 Rear Bumper (Pearl White)
  • Stock V35 Sideskirts (Pearl White)

Let me know some offers and if you want pictures. More information on the car can be found at www.sgv35.com.

how old is the md tdx and art pipes? could be very interested. same with 5/16 spacer. What sort of money would you let it go for? Also considering freight, me being in Mackay i will happily pay for it.

The exhaust and plenum spacer were all installed July 2011. But they're in perfect condition still, the tips will need a good clean (which I can't do while they're installed because my bodykits in the way). But apart from that they're awesome.

I'll PM you prices and also reply to everyones PM's when I get a chance.

Thanks!

Yes please pm me a price with or without freight if you should Sheldon i'd appreciate that. Won't waste your time, been trying to find a used md setup exactly like this for a while.

i understand it's an EOI, but putting some prices up might cut down on a bit of the backwards and forwards.

some nice parts in there - should be plenty of interest

Alright, lets throw some prices around then. I was at work so I didnt really have a chance to look into it.

  • Motordyne Engineering TDX2 Catback Exhaust with Titanium Tips (Basically the best exhaust possible for the V35 and 350Z) (AS A COMBO $1700)
  • Motordyne Engineering ART Pipes (Replace the cats) (AS A COMBO $1700)
  • Motordyne Engineering 5/16 Plenum Spacer ($150)
  • Stock Z Tube (ideally as a combo with the below Pod Filter) ($125 combo)
  • JWT Pod Filter w/ Heatshield ($125 combo)
  • 20“ Vertini Fairladys Rims (slight rash on passenger side and some clear coat is pealing off) ($1500 w/ tyres)
  • Nissan 350Z Springs ($125)
  • UpRev Tuner Package ($400)

Also selling:

  • Stock V35 Rear Bumper (Pearl White) ($100)
  • Stock V35 Sideskirts (Pearl White) ($75)

At this current point the Springs, Intake Combo, Exhaust and Plenum spacer are sold.

That leaves the wheels and UpRev tune left.

Sorry to repost couldn't edit the last one but just wanted to clear up what i was after, would be keen on the TDX2, ART Pipes and the spacer and possibly the Z springs that is if any of the sale's fall thru obviously. I am located in Brisbane so would be able to pick up.

Hey Guys,

Sean was the first in with an offer and he's placing a deposit on the TDX2, ART Pipes and Plenum spacer tomorrow. If it falls through you'll be 3rd in line, Lee. Sorry.

In terms of the UpRev tune, from what i've read you can detune your car (returning it to stock) and unlocking the cable.

Hey mate, cheers for the response. From what I quickly searched on FAQs for Uprev, as long as it's properly unmarried, it should work.

I guess returning to stock should do, is there any way of finding out if you have properly unmarried it? Lol just don't want to get stuck.

Also do you know your ECU number (you can PM it to me) if you don't mind me asking, just wanted to compare with mine because I know there can be compatiablity issues (though your's worked fine).

:-)

In regards to the Uprev, the seller can provide a screen shot that states that the cables licence hasn't been used. This happens when you flash the "back to stock" map onto the ECU.

Your ECU part number will almost certainly be different, so I don't know how you go about getting the editable maps for your ECU. Maybe its a case of emailing Uprev.

    • Hi all. I am aware there is lots of discussions about jacking points, where to lift the car and what not. But as usual just a lot of "in my opinion" and nothing definitive, and everyone does it in a different way. I want to hear from some experienced people on which points on the car it's okay/safe/recommended to lift the car using a four point hoist/lift. I will attach some images of my underbody. Sills are largely okayish, the driver side jacking point is pretty mangled though and it looks like the underfloor is slightly pushed in too, but I might be wrong. In the German Skyline forum, the consensus is to use the sidemember chassis rails in the front and the rear subframe? bushing in the rear. I know the manual says to never use the sidemember for loading but lots of folk do it and it was definitely done on my car too as they are slightly bent too. Based on the images, what points do I use to not make the already present damage worse? I'd use wood or rubber blocks to spread the load across a bigger area of course. • Have you put an aftermarket oil pressure gauge on and verified your oil pressure?   Noise being on the block, on exhaust side, how high up the block does it seem to be? It could be the VCT system getting cranky, especially if it's mainly at idle, and when warm, as that'll be your lowest point for oil pressure. Could be showing that oil passages / VCT solenoid are blocking.
    • Well, hydraulic lifters will get noisy if they are dirty/fouled in some way, and exactly how that manifests will depend on exactly what schmutz is where. There is a procedure on here somewhere for dismantling and soaking/cleaning them. Replacing them with new is about 50% of the work and about 5% of the money!
    • Thanks for the reply @GTSBoy this is is a hydraulic lifter engine. Yea right i did not realise the lifters were supposed to be compressible while installed. I could push them down but i had to lean almost my while body weight on them.  I have never heard of a lifter/ lifters ticking only at hot idle and getting worse the hotter it gets. I have owned a few jdm cars with noisy lifters. This noise is slightly more subtle, it is more of a sharp gentle metalic tic than the solid and more loud tapping I've heard on lifters. I have used a metal rod, alloy tube, hose and stethoscope and could not find the source of the tick. But it appears to be loudest on the actual engine block behind the exhaust cam gear and next to the oil filter. I had mate (40 year old mechanic) go over it with me and he couldn't find it either..  Could it be a cam seal issue of some sort?  Cheers
