A while ago my ABS warning light lit up on my dash, and naturally I ignored it for a while

However I eventually got around to an auto electrician and they diagnosed the fault via OBD2 cable.

Here's what they wrote on my receipt:

Run diagnostics test. Find ABS motor fault. Code said: ABS Motor (off failure)

I did some searching here on SAU and saw some threads about how the relays attached to the ABS motor (black box with plugs) is a common fault. My symptom also matched someone else who had this problem. If I hold the brake pedal and start the car, no ABS warning light comes one. However as soon as I release the brake, ABS light comes on.

Today I went to a wrecker and managed to pick up one of these black relay boxes, and plugged it in but same issue, ABS light still on.

Does this mean that it's likely the actual ABS motor is failed? Should I look somewhere else?
