Is R33 Tacho Output Compatible With Eboost2

Who has put a turbo smart eboost2 into their r33 and wired in the tacho signal wire?, can you just splice the eboost2 tacho wire straight to the output wire from the ecu, and it works accurately, or do i need to add a resistor inline, or a pull up resistor to make it read correct.

spliced in would cut the tacho signal from the original cluster, had to wire in a resistor to make them both work at once, cant remember as it was ages ago but i used a multiple resistance pot to find out what worked and then soldered it inline to the eboost 2.
