Hey guys,

Unfortunately, last night I hit a gutter in the wet, and my front left wheel has seen better days. It looks as though the suspension is all bent and I couldnt even drive it home as the wheel is unsiure which way it should be pointing :ghost: While I am upset and the like, life has to go on and now I need to get it fixed.

I'm sure i'm not the only person who has ever lost to the curb, and I was wondering just how much this is going to cost me to get fixed. I'm guessing I need my front left suspension rebuilt, possibly the steering arm is bent too. (can't tell at this stage).

The only positive side out of it is that I didn't sustain any panel damage as I wasn't travelling particularly fast, just a dud roundabout, wet road, little bit of stupidity mixed in for an expoensive ****tail of lesson learnt.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks.

P.s. anyone got a stocker rim going cheap!?

Ahhh the dreaded gutter.

Almost EVERYONE runs their skyline into a gutter of sum sort during their life.

I did :D

Mine doesnt sound as back as yours is tho. How hard did you hit it?

Mine was expensive tho because at the time my front bar was really low, so ofcourse the entire front bar was ripped off which in turn cracked my headlights and moved my two front quarter panels.

I didnt do any suspension damage thanks to my hard teins :P

All up mine was about $2k to fix, but this included some other things like a full buff and polish of the car, new front bar.. etc

i smacked into the curb in the wet about 3-4 weeks back too. poped my left tyre so ended up gettin some cheap rims to replace the stockies. got a wheel alighnment to straighten the steering wheel but now it drives worse then before the allignment having a mind of its own when i decide to boost and change lanes. visual inspection shows nothing bent but i aint no expert......can anyone recomend a good suspension place in melb??

depending on what is bent, if you know the right places to look it won't cost too much.

control arm- $195

sway bar link - $30

radius rod - $95

radius rod mount - $50

strut + spring - $150

steering rack end - $110

r33 standard rim - $80

so for parts you will be looking at $700. if you can install all the stuff your self (isnt that hard!) it should be a cheap fix!

    • Hey folks, I need to put bucket seats in my v35. Bride have removed N107-RO rails(drivers side for reclining) from their website and I cannot find it anywhere in stock. I wanted the reclining rail so I can run the ADR approved bride Stradia reps from crank motorsport(the rails they make need modification and sit you too high, so that is not an option). Has anyone got the N107-ROs installed with a stradia or similar seat? What's the seating position like? I want to make sure it's a good fit before I hit up people in japan to track them down for me. My alternative is to get bride fixed back rails and run a Cobra Suzuka. If anyone one has this combo I'd love to hear from you. Cheers
